I am sorry to hear of Bonnie’s passing. I am a neighbor close by and she often would talk to my son and I as we were passing by. More than a few times I would hear her yelling that her little Samantha ran off and we would go get her. She had quite a voice! Rest well Bonnie and my sympathies to the family.
Bonnie cleaned for my parents in their final years in Fort Dodge. She was a hard worker and did so much to help my mom, particularly after my Dad passed away. Still working at 80, she must have been doing well up until her death. We kept in touch still through Christmas cards, and she visited me while in Texas a few years ago. I am sorry to hear of her passing. My sympathies to the family.
Bonnie and Laura Largent were our "across the street" neighbors when we moved to FD in 1971. Bonnie came over often to visit my dad, a pastor, and we took several rides in her troublesome Plymouths to diagnose squeaks or rattles until she traded it off for a Cutlass. Laura was a sweet and gentle person; Bonnie spoke her mind as she saw fit, and I will always remember her, in a good way, for that endearing trait. I last saw her when I was in FD for my ten-year high school reunion, and she was working the restaurant where our party was held. Thank you, Bonnie, for all these good memories. Rest well, dear neighbor.
