Obituary

Mildred "Millie" Carter, 80 of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, September 11. 2022 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 21st at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Rev. Emily Sauer officiating. A visitation will be 9:00 AM until the start of the services at the church.

Mildred is survived by her children Rod (Lora Carroll) of Whittemore, Rick (Teresa) Carter and Ryan Carter all of Fort Dodge; grandchildren Shae Carter, Kyle Carter, Morgan Bolen, Heather (Dustin) Jurries, Jessie (Dennis) Stegall, and Patrick Carter; 6 great-grandchildren; and sister Doris Friesth.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Freda (Carlson) Davis and siblings Maureen, Janet, and Ronnie; and 2 grandchildren.

MIldred Ann Davis was born July 1, 1942 in Fort Dodge. She attended area schools and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. She was united in marriage to Curtis M. Carter. The couple later divorced. Millie worked for Suzuki, the Starlite, Hawkeye Awning and retired as a book keeper from Fort Dodge Health and Rehab in 2012. Millie enjoyed sewing and crafting. She collected ceramic dolls and tea cups. She was also a member of the Red Hat Club. She enjoyed traveling with her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
