JoAnn was an amazing and special person. A true warrior, she battled various conditions and surgeries with grace and with an inspiring positive attitude. She had the kindest heart of anyone I have ever known and touched the lives of so many people. JoAnn had an infectious smile that brought great joy to everyone she came into contact with and her hugs were warming and comforting.
JoAnn was an inspiring Special Olympian and loved competing with her friends. She had so many amazing caregivers in her life who are incredible and were considered members of her family. JoAnn loved music, movies, and football. She loved her family at Exceptional Opportunities where she got an amazing education, worked hard, and experienced the love of countless people. She will truly be missed by so many. Great solace is taken in knowing she will no longer be suffering, and she will be rejoining her father in heaven.
Memorials may be left to Exceptional Opportunities or Special Olympics.
So sorry to hear of JoAnn passing. Indeed a special angel who was dearly loved. Sue McCabe

Sara, Brian and family,
My heart goes out to each of you. My heart was filled with love and happiness from working at Exceptional Opportunities for 23 years. Jo was part of the joy in my heart. Jo always knew how to melt my heart with her beautiful eyes and special smile. For the past 2 years my heart was filled again with the love and joy of returning to my family at Exceptional Opportunities. Love knows no boundaries, even those that divide Heaven and Earth. So whenever you feel sad, just remember yours and Jo's hearts are connected. The Lord has gained a beautiful angel and Tom has gotten his little girl back home. May the Lord help comfort the Thill family and Jo's family at Exceptional Opportunities. God Bless each of you! Vicki Briggs

Sara, Brian and family,
Our deepest sympathy at this time of JoAnn's death. What a privilege it has been to serve JoAnn for nearly forty years. JoAnn's determination saw her through many challenges during her life time. She certainly was a spunky one! I am sure she was welcomed to heaven by her dad. Please know we share your loss and will miss JoAnn so very much. Jean Menning
