Bill Russell Hatch

William "Bill" R. Hatch, 88, of Fort Dodge, passed away, Friday August 15, 2026, at Simpson Health Center Friendship Haven.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 22, 2026, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. There will be a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Laufersweiler Funeral Hom is serving the family.

Bill is survived by his children, Donald (Darla) Hatch of Cedar Rapids, Dale (Denise) Hatch of Central City, Paula Hooper of Marion, daughter-in-law, Sara Hatch of Cedar Rapids, grandchildren, great grandchildren, long time friend, Kay Timmons of Lehigh, sister, Joyce Bergamo of Ankeny, and brother Donald (Darla) Hatch of Center Point.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Judith, son, Christopher, parents, Donald and Wilma Hatch and sister, Masa Bundting.

William Russell Hatch was born on April 5, 1938, in Alburnett, IA. He was raised and educated in Alburnett graduating from Alburnett High School. After high school he attended a trade school. He was united in marriage to Judith "Judy" Heins on February 11, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, IA. Bill owned and operated the 76 Station in Marion for a number of years. He and Judy then operated the R and R One Stop convenience store in Central City. In 2012 Bill moved to Lehigh.
