Teresa Schott

Teresa M. Schott, 82, of Fort Dodge, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Marian Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 24th at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Teresa is survived by her children, Daniel (LeeAnn) Schott of Ames, Rebecca (Dr. Joseph) Snyder of Dyersville, Teresa (Richard) Luth, of Fort Dodge, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and her sister, Patricia Vogel of Otho.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Thelma (Michalski) Good, husband James in 2004, and her brother James Good.

Teresa Marie Good, daughter of Fredrick and Thelma (Michaski) Good, was born on September 17, 1942, in Fort Dodge. Teresa was raised and educated in Fort Dodge. On February 10, 1962, Teresa was united in marriage to James R. Schott at Sacred Heart Church in Fort Dodge. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge, and then later in Otho. Teresa worked for Mercy/Trinity Regional Hospital for 5 years as a nurse's aide before completing her nursing training. She then continued her employment as an LPN for 20 years, retiring in 1993. Teresa is a member of Holy Trinity Church. Her faith and her family were the most important thing in her life.
