Shirley Groff

Shirley D. Groff, 91, of Fort Dodge, passed away peacefully with her son and daughter at her side on Wednesday July 23, 2025, at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, at the funeral home.

Shirley is survived by her son Jamie Groff, daughter Laura Geopfert, grandchildren Ashley, Amanda, James, 5 great-grandchildren, siblings Don Anderson and Mary Jo James.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Groff, parents Joseph & Jessie Anderson and sister Joanne Amundson.

Shirley Delores Anderson was born on November 16, 1933, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1972, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Groff in Denver, Colorado and then the couple made Fort Dodge their home. For 27 years, Shirley worked for O'Connor Insurance, retiring in 2000. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, a life member of Beta Sigma Phi, and past member of Elk Dae.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
