Roger J. Graham passed away Friday, June 5, 2026 at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 9th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday June 10th at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Cemetery.
Roger is survived by his children, Dawn and her husband Kevin Dencklau of Fort Dodge, Stephanie and her husband Brian Thompson of Humboldt, Katie and her husband Brandon Tews of Ogden, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a sister Helen Carlson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Katherine (Henning) Graham, wife Janet Graham, infant daughter Amy Graham, sisters Luelle and her husband Arlo Godfrey, Viola (Graham) Husky, bothers Dean Graham and his wife Ginner, Gene Graham and his wife Beverly , Larry Graham and his wife Cindy, and his brother-in-law Roger Carlson.
Roger Joseph Graham was born on January 29, 1938 in Algona. He was raised there and after grade school the family moved to Fort Dodge. Roger then attended St. Paul Lutheran School for 7th and 8th grade until going to Fort Dodge Senior High School where he graduated. Roger attended college for short time. He then enlisted in the U. S. Air Force Reserves for 2 years before serving full time for 2 years and served until his honorable discharge. Roger returned to Fort Dodge where he was united in marriage to Janet Meyer and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Roger worked for Beisser Lumber Co for several years before joining the maintenance department at Iowa Central Community College until his retirement. Roger was an avid golfer and fisherman. He loved being with his family playing cards, telling stories and having a nice cold Bud Light.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
