Roger Douglas

Roger A. Douglas, 82, of Fort Dodge, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025, at Unity Point Hospital in Fort Dodge.

A family memorial service is planned for a later date. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.

Roger is survived by his wife Jean, daughters Jane (Chris) Higgs of England, Annie Grady of Fort Dodge, sons Joe (Katie) Douglas of Coalville, Brady (Shannon) Douglas of Fort Dodge, grandchildren Aydin Grady, Lyra Douglas, Paetyn Douglas of Fort Dodge, Lanessa, Kyla, Tristen, Toby, and Iona of England, sister Trisha Wilkinson of England and brothers and sisters-in-law Damon and Linda Davis of Harcourt, Art and Rose Johnson of Fort Dodge.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Margaret (May) Douglas, brother Michael Douglas, sister Margaret Smith, and in-laws Harold and Jemima Johnson.

Roger Anthony Douglas was born on December 17, 1943, in Eynsham, Oxford, England. He came to the United States in 1972 and became a citizen on June 27, 1994. He was united in marriage to Jean Johnson in 1974 and together they made Fort Dodge their home. Roger was employed with Frito Lay and Force America. He enjoyed his "Guiness", golfing with his sons, and being with his family. He had a special place in his heart for his grand dogs. He was a very kind person, loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be greatly missed.
