Robert Miller

Robert J. Miller, 80, of Fort Dodge, passed away Friday September 27, 2024, at Friendship Haven.

Graveside services will be held at 09:30 AM on Thursday October 3, 2024, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.

Robert is survived by his brother, Donald Miller in Colleen, TX; several half brothers and sisters; nephews, Gregg (Jill) Haden, of Fort Dodge, and Jerry (Christa) Metter, of Missouri; niece, Tracy Haden, of Otho; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Rita Sampsel.

Robert Joseph Miller was born on June 28, 1944, in Monroe, MI to Orville and Alma (Albin) Miller. He was raised and educated in Monroe. After school he enlisted in the Army as the Military Police and served from 1962 until retiring in 1983. Robert lived in Fort Dodge for a number of years and worked for Wal-Mart for 12 years until relocating to Arkansas. He continued to work for Wal-Mart in Arkansas for 10 years until he retired. In 2023, Robert moved back to Fort Dodge.
