Pauline A Ball, 87, of Fort Dodge, passed away Sunday January 11, 2026, at the Marian Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday January 17, 2026, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. There will be a visitation Friday January 16, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home with a CDA Rosary at 3:45 PM.
Pauline is survived by her children, Doreen (Tim) Coppinger of Barnum, IA, Colleen (Dave) Riesenberg of Manson, IA, Kevin (Kimberly) Ball of Arlington, TX, Michael (Nancy) Ball of Arlington, TX, DeAnne (Doug) Yetmar of Clare, IA, Maria (Lester) Leslie of Appomattox, VA, 12 grandchildren Erin Rossmanith, Andy Coppinger, Rachel Russell, Jeremy Riesenberg, Christopher Riesenberg, Terey Ball, Aaron Ball, Whitley Ellison, Kail Ellison, Justin Yetmar, Ashley Makuch, Savannah Leslie and 17 great-grandchildren, siblings, James “Jim” Miklo of Island Park, ID, Rose Mary Hefley of Omaha, NE, Barb Hunt of Clare, IA, Beth Mortenson of LeMars, IA, Donald Miklo of Clare, IA, Robert Miklo of Iowa City, IA and Kathy Kenney of Vincent, IA. Sisters-in-law Marcella Shipman, Webster City, IA, Ina Schwandt, Alden, IA, LaVonne Smart, Des Moines, IA and brother-in-law Bernard Ball, Granbury, TX and many nieces and nephews.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Irven, parents Steve and Betty (Jondle) Miklo, grandson Shane Ball, granddaughters Jessica Ball and Olivia Ball and brother, John Miklo and sister Helen Richardson.
Pauline Anne Miklo was born on April 27, 1938, in Fort Dodge. She was raised in Burnside and Clare. She graduated from St. Matthew's High School in Clare in 1956. On July 7, 1956, she was united in marriage to Irven Ball at St. Matthews in Clare. The couple established their home in Duncombe before moving southwest of Humboldt where they farmed in Clare and Duncombe until 1964. Pauline owned and operated the Clare Café for 8 years and worked for Centel Phone Company for 7 years. In 1983, the couple moved to Fort Dodge. Pauline was a realtor for over 25 years and was co-owner of Re/Max of Fort Dodge. Pauline served on the Fort Dodge State Board of Realtors. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and Catholic Daughters of America. For many years, she was active in the choir and served as a Eucharistic Minister and a cantor. Pauline loved and cherished her many years of being a volunteer at St. Edmond Catholic School for the 2nd grade class where she enjoyed working with the students on their math and reading.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family or St. Edmond Catholic School.
