Our world is dimmer for the loss of our young knight in his shining armor. He was a fierce and loyal friend and protector to those smaller and weaker than he. His gentle nature brought many who could see his shining light to seek his company and the joy he brought. We honor his brave fight against the darkness he held at bay, but it is with sorrow that he succumbed on Mon., June 16, 2025.
His family aches with the loss of their gentle giant. Oliver is survived by his parents Shayna and Wyatt Brockbank; his siblings Samuel, Elias, and Ruby; his grandparents John and Susan Brockbank and Charlotte Widdison; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. He loved them and they loved him.
Oliver was a voracious reader. He loved playing videogames, music, and entertaining young people. He was well liked by students and teachers at Fort Dodge Senior High. He was known for being goofy, creative, intelligent, and for giving big hugs.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Venmo account @Wyatt-Brockbank
We love and miss you, Oliver John Brockbank VIII.
