Neil Koeppen

Neil Koeppen, 88, of Rockwell City passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Accura Healthcare of Pomeroy.

His wishes were to have no services. Memorials may be left to family discretion at 215 3rd Street, Rockwell City, IA 50579.

Neil is survived by his children, Carrie (Brian) McKigney of Mason City and Curtis Koeppen of Jolley; grandchildren, Kolten Koeppen, Carter Koeppen, and Carson Koeppen; great-grandson, Krue Koeppen, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Katherine (Nutter) Koeppen; wife Loretta (Stein) Koeppen; son, Arnold Koeppen; and 5 sisters.

Neil Arnoild Koeppen was born March 30, 1938 in Garfield Township near Jolley. He graduated from Jolley High School with the Class of 1956. On September 28, 1957 he was united in marriage to Loretta Stein at Lytton. The couple made their home on a farm near Jolley where he farmed all of his life. Neil enjoyed fishing and dancing with his wife. He was a member of Jolley United Methodist Church.
