Michelle Koester

Michelle Koester, 59, of Duncombe passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

A come and go Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Vincent Community Center. A private family burial will be held prior to the Celebration of Life at the Colfax Cemetery, Vincent.

Michelle is survived by her husband, DeLoy Koester and son, Justin Koester both of Duncombe; father, Dave (Kathy) Messerly of Fort Dodge; and sister, Jill Messerly (Jim) Potts of Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally (Dillingham) Messerly and grandparents, Clarence and Lucille Messerly and Bob and Delores Dillingham.

Michelle Denise Messerly was born August 24, 1966 in Fort Dodge. She grew up in Vincent and graduated from Eagle Grove High School. On November 12, 2004 she was united in marriage to DeLoy Koester. She worked various jobs but most currently was working for the United States Postal Service. Michelle enjoyed doing embroidery and spending time with family and friends. Her son Justin was her entire life.
