Marvin Ashbrook

Marvin Ashbrook, 73, of Jolley passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital, Lake City.

A graveside service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Jolley.

Marvin is survived by his sisters Neva Gingery of Boone and Lori Baker of Lanesboro and half sister Doris Hunt as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Betty (Stevenson) Ashbrook and half brothers Charles, Lloyd and Kenneth Earnest.

Marvin Eugene Ashbrook was born April 23, 1952 in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Jolley and graduated from Rockwell City High School in 1970. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1970 to 1972. Upon his honorable dischargeHe returned home and attended Sheldon Community College. Marvin was employed by School Construction in Cherokee for many years and in later years, he cared for his parents in Jolley. Marvin was a member of Jolley Community United Methodist Church.
