Lucy Wilson

Lucy Wilson, 88, formerly of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo. Private family services will be held at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Lucy Mae Temple was born August 5, 1937, in Shucktown, Lauderdale County, Mississippi. When she was 15 years old, Lucy and her family moved to Fort Dodge. In 1953, she married Eddie Seals Jr, they later divorced. Lucy worked throughout Fort Dodge including Trinity Regional, Globe Union, and Hormel. In 1980, she married Herman Wilson. They moved to Waterloo in 1983.

Lucy is survived by her children Eddie Seals of Fort Dodge, Patricia Williams of Clarks Grove, MN, Glenn Seals of Waterloo, Tammy Seals of Fort Dodge, grandchildren Dallas Seals-Miller, Aisha Heard, Jovanna Heard, Jamel Seals, Christa Seals, Christopher Holmes, Xavier Seals, Nathaniel Seals, Nathan Spohn, Quincy Seals and Michael Brocker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Wilson in 2022, children Tommie Seals, Gloria Seals, Shelia Francis, siblings James, Johnny, Herbert, Ernest, Leon, Curtis, Robert, Eleana, and Ida Mae Boutchee, grandchildren Keytrick Seals and Kayla Seals
