Lois M Anderson

Lois Mae Anderson, 89, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026, at her home.

A time for visiting will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Lost Grove Township Cemetery.

Lois is survived by her sons Ken (Denise) Anderson of Fort Dodge and Loren Anderson of Webster City. She is also survived by her grandchildren, TJ Mernka, Zach (Georgia) Mernka, Katelyn (Robert) Benkelman, Gracie Anderson, Jennifer (Paul) Gardner, great grandchildren Callie, Joshua, Julian, and Joseph.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gust and Adelia (Lind) Sandberg, husband Gene in 2019, son Keith Anderson, daughter Linda Anderson, and brother Dean Sandberg.

Lois Mae Sandberg was born May 14, 1937, in Paton, Iowa. She was raised in Paton and graduated from Paton High School. On June 6, 1956 Lois was united in marriage to Wilmer "Gene" Anderson, and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Lois was a loving homemaker and shared her caring nature by being a foster parent.
