Linda Jerome

Linda Jerome, 85, of Fort Dodge passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 at Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Holy Trinity Church.
Burial will follow in North Lawn Cemetery. A lunch & visitation will begin at 11:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Parish Center at 402 8th Street, Fort Dodge.

Linda is survived by her stepsons, Jeff (Barb) Jerome of Sioux City, Gary (Maris) Jerome of Houston, Texas and Steven (Priscilla) Jerome of Lehigh; step grandchildren, Adam Jerome, Allison (Bryce) Abbas and Sara (Mark) Keck; step great-grandchildren, Payton Abbas and Reagan Abbas and Hyde Keck; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Jerome, parents Joseph and Marjorie (Courtney) Thomas, step father Fred Grabbe, siblings Patricia (Richard) Harty, Cheryll (George) Kayser and Ella Jane (Daniel) Simon.

Linda Lou Thomas was born August 27, 1940 in Dows, IA. She was raised in Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School in 1958. She then attended and graduated from NW Institute of Medical Laboratory Technique. Linda worked for various laboratories in MN, IL and IA;, including Kersten Clinic. On April 29, 1977 she was united in marriage to Joseph Jerome and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Linda worked for Fort Dodge Medical Center until retiring in 2000. Linda and Joe were able to travel to many parts of the world and enjoyed other interests as well, including volunteering at Trinity Regional Medical Center for over 38 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church.
