Kyle Shank

Kyle P. Shank, 31, of Paton died Saturday, August 24, 2024, in an automobile accident.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Left with broken hearts is his wife Sydney, daughters Halle and Harper, mother and father Tina and Mike Skeries of Otho, father Eric Shank of Des Moines, sister Abbey (Dakota Hennigar) Skeries of Boone, grandparents Phil and Beth Shank, Mike Saunders, Larry Skeries and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandma Kathy Storlie.

Kyle Philip Shank was born January 15, 1993, in Waterloo. In 2011 he graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. On October 6, 2021, Kyle was married to Sydney Spencer and the couple made their home in Paton. Kyle was employed with Koch Industries at the time of his passing.

Kyle loved anything with wheels. He loved going fast and fixing fast things. A true motorhead, he was often found working on engines and enjoying time with friends and families just cruising.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
