Kevin B. Eagen, 54, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home, Fort Dodge.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2023, (please note date) at Zion Lutheran Church, Gowrie with Pastor Jim Davis and Lay Pastor Beth Carlon officiating. Burial will be in Gowrie Township Cemetery with Military Rites by the American Legion Peterson Post #431 of Gowrie. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Friday until the service time at the church. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is serving the family.
Kevin is survived by sisters Terry (Dr. Bruce) Towne of Gowrie, Karen (Steve) Ringquist of Vancouver, WA, Dianna Lysgaard of Stevenson, WA, Jennifer (Dan) Antak of Portland, OR, Deb Zboril of Vancouver, WA, brother Mike Eagen of Portland, OR, by special uncle and aunt Dr. Mark and Sandy Gibson of Pine City, NY, adoptive parents Rick and Jeanine White of Ridgefield, WA, and other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Dean Eagen.
Kevin Bryan Eagen was born December 16, 1968, in Pheonix, AZ, Kevin graduated from Southside High School in Elmira, New York. He served in the United States Marine Corps from November 1987 until April of 1992, including active duty in Desert Storm. Additionally, he served two tours in Japan and was on active duty in South Korea, the Philippines, Saudia Arbia, Qatar, Iraq, Iran, and Kuwait. He later obtained his Bachelor of Science degree. Originally from Iowa, he resided in New York state and Washinton state before returning home to native Iowa in August 2017. Kevin was a self-employed carpenter, He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Shick-Ogle Post #4278 of Camas, WA and he also was a member of the American Legion Peterson Post #431 of Gowrie, IA.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
