Kathryn Rose "Kay" Yetmar, 84, of Clare passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her daughters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Holy Trinity Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, Clare. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a Rosary at 3:45 PM all at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Kay is survived by her seven daughters Teresa Yetmar (Thomas Baird) of AZ, Joyce McCarville of Fort Dodge, Bridget Yetmar (Kenny McElroy) of Humboldt, Michelle (Dale) Cochran of Urbandale, Mary Lundberg (Pat Sells) of Fort Dodge, Sara (Tim) Bormann of Humboldt, and Molly (Brian) Illg of Clare. Kay also leaves behind 16 grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Emily, Katie, Michael, Veronica, Madeline, Samuel, Conlin, Allison, Lilly, Clara, Henry, Daniel, Michael, Gracelyn, Olivia, and Blair. Kay will be missed by her sisters-in-law Mary McMahon, Betty Hepperle and Patricia Hepperle. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Kate (Marshall) Hepperle, husband Michael Yetmar in 2000, infant daughter Veronica, son-in-law Tom Lundberg, siblings Jim Hepperle, Shirley (Lavern) Rieks, Bill Hepperle, Maureen Williams, Bonnie Frank, Bob Hepperle, and brother-in-law Pat (Greta) Yetmar, and Mark McMahon. Kathryn Rose Hepperle was born August 3, 1939. She was raised in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1958. Kay was united in marriage to Michael Yetmar in 1961 at Corpus Christi Church. The couple made their home in rural Clare. Kay was a second-grade teacher at St. Matthew's School, in Clare, until she and Mike began their family together. When the children were a little older, Kay became the cook at St. Matthew's School. Later in life, she followed her calling, and entered a new career as a home healthcare aide. Kay was a natural caregiver and loved her time giving and caring for others. Kay's life was centered around providing for the needs of her family both physically and spiritually. She was known as Grandma Kay to her 16 grandchildren, but became Grandma Kay to friends far and wide. Kay was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She lived a life centered around her family and faith. Kay enjoyed gardening,
