Kathleen "Kathy" Martin

Kathleen Ann Martin, 85 of Ft. Dodge, died at her home on November 2, 2025.

Kathy was born on June 26, 1940 on the family farm in Barnum to Viola and Harley Wyatt. Kathy attended Barnum school, graduating in 1958. After graduation, she moved to Germany and married Don Crimmins. She later went on to graduate from Black Hawk Community College with a nursing degree in 1971 and worked as a nurse until her retirement, also owning and operating a medical transportation business for several years in Washington, DC.

Kathy was such a force in the lives of all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking and was good at it-from her favorite cooking shows to telling others they needed "just a bit more salt" to improve their dish. She leaves behind a multitude of handwritten recipes that will be cherished by her family. She had an incredible heart and always had something funny or out of the box to say. Truly, there was never a dull moment with Kathy/Mom/Grammy. Her passing has left a void in our hearts with many tears shed but even more laughter because she is the star of so many wonderful memories.

Kathy is survived by her daughters, Shelly Doster (Steve) and Chris McKinley (John) daughter-in-law, Tracy Crimmins, her sisters Sally Allard and Merry Moore and brother Denny Wyatt, 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren (and counting). She was preceded in death by her son, Dan Crimmins, her parents and her brother, Mike Wyatt.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. There will be a private family mass and burial at a later date.
