Jo Ann Hendricks

Rockwell City- Jo Ann Hendricks, 87, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM Saturday, September 6, 2025 at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.

Jo Ann is survived by her children, Cathie Wise, Tim Lyons, Julie (Mike) Lynch, Todd (Anita) Lyons all of Rockwell City, Cyndie (Bryon) Whiting of Spirit Lake, and Barry Lyons of New London; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Hendricks; parents, Clarence and Catherine (Moore) Pitstick and brothers, Richard Pitstick and Larry Pitstick.

Jo Ann Pitstick was born March 31, 1938 in Lake City. She was raised and educated in Rockwell City; graduating from Rockwell City High School in 1956. On January 1, 1976 she was united in marriage to Ronald Hendricks and the couple made their home in Rockwell City. Jo Ann worked for the city of Rockwell City for 11 years and then worked in home health care until her retirement. She was an avid collector of anything she could get her hands on from dolls to pottery and anything in between. She enjoyed farming, gardening, and cooking. She was active in the AMVETS Post 41 and cherished her time spent with the "Golden Girls", enjoying chatting, going to lunch and bowling.
