Jim Weimer

James “Jim” L. Weimer Sr., 80, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.

A visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Jim is survived by his sons James Jr. (Stacy) Weimer and Doug (Brenda) Weimer both of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by grandchildren Caleb (Suzanne Nelson) Weimer, Catie (Pat) Newland, Jesse Weimer, Chase Weimer, Hadley (Jessica) Libbey, Brendan Libbey, Marissa Libbey, great-grandchildren Bentley, Jace, Kinsley, Aria, and Avery.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Lavonne (Felkey) Weimer, siblings Karen, Pat, Betty, Louise, and Leonard.

James Leroy Weimer was born August 9, 1944, in Fort Dodge. Jim is an honorably discharged Army Vietnam Veteran and has lived his whole life in Fort Dodge. For 38 years, Jim was employed with USG. He loved to fish and in the past, he cherished his time helping his son, Doug with drag racing.
