Mary Frances "Fran" Rosales, born October 4, 1933 in Ledyard, IA to Lorenzo and Hilarria Rosales passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024 after a brief illness.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In her early years, Fran worked as an aide at the original Marion Home, a meter maid for the Fort Dodge Police Department and at Trinity Regional Hospital (now known as UnityPoint) from which she retired from.
Fran enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and sketching. She was obsessed and enthused over hot air balloons and lucky enough to see the Reno Hot Air Balloon Races in Nevada and the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico. Fran liked listening to old time radio programs and music, especially Frank Sinatra. She had a collection of hot air balloons and Frank Sinatra memorabilia, many that family and friends had given her. Fran was very independent, fiesty and a fighter to the end.
There to greet her on the other side were her parents, brothers Leo Rosales, Ralph Rosales and Gilbert Rosales; sisters Rorie Tuel and Lily Wirt. She is survived by her sisters Angie Fair, Manson, IA and Shirley Nelson, Fort Dodge, IA and sister-in-law Dolly Rosales (Ralph), Cocoa Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews. Fran's wishes were to have a big party instead of services which will be held at a later date. Fly high and free now that you have your wings, Fran!
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
