Ellen Santee

Ellen E. Santee, 82, of Rockwell City passed away Friday, February 13, 2026 at Rotary Ann Senior Living in Eagle Grove.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2026 at Laufersweiler's Palmer- Swank Funeral Home in Rockwell City. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. A visitation will begin one hour to the service at the funeral home.

Ellen is survived by her siblings, Vicki (Rick) McClintock of Eagle Grove, David (Delva) Santee of Norfolk, NE, Marsha Railey of Richmond, MO, brothers-in-law, John Hudgens of Joliet, IL and Ed Weber of Rockport, MO, sister-in-law, Janice Santee of Plattsmouth, NE, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin "Barney" and Ruth (Richardson) Santee, siblings, Bobby Santee, Mildred "Sissy" Hudgens, Judy Weber, Richard Santee, and foster sister Donna Pautsch.

Ellen Elizabeth Santee was born September 15, 1943 in Rockwell City. She was raised and educated in Rockwell City; graduating from Rockwell Citty High School in 1961. Ellen was a nurses aide for over 22 years at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City and at Sunny View Care Center in Rockwell City. She also babysat for a number of years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Rockwell City.
