Douglas B. Bulten, 71, of Manson passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be 12:00 to 3:30 pm Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Moose Lodge, Fort Dodge (424 1st Ave S).

Douglas is survived by his children, Elijah Bulten (Lynn) of Callender, Malaki Bulten (Tara) of Manson, Jennie (Jeremy) Hoover of Gowrie, and Luke Espeland of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Elizabeth Bulten-Smith, Jalen Fuss, Collin Bulten, Chase Bulten, Ava Bulten, Mela Witt, Kayla Dwight, and Cruz Espeland; great-grandchildren, Sylvia, Sabel, and Summit Dwight; siblings, Steve (Kathy) Pietsch of Huxley, IA , Jim (Lani) Grider, Louis "Heavy" (Carol) Eastwood of Windom, MN, Lisa (Ron) Rotnicke of Turin, IA, LuAnn (Natalie) Pietsch of San Diego, CA, Marla (Steve) Jewett of Sloan, IA, Lori (Stuart) Sweeden of Rome, GA, Kari (Randy) Franken of Early, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eggo Bulten (Biological Father), Deloris Harrison (Mother), Marlin Pietsch (Father) and Lowell Ulven (Brother).

Douglas Brent Bulten was born October 9, 1954 in Fort Dodge. He attended Eagle Grove schools and graduated from Eagle Grove High School. Upon graduation, he began his career in the construction field. He also worked for Wilbert Burial Vaults and Bauer Built before his retirement. Douglas enjoyed playing bocce ball, throwing horseshoes, gardening, mushroom hunting and carving anything out of wood. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
