Dorothy Jean Foster

Dorothy Jean Foster, 87, of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home with a visitation on hour prior. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dorothy Jean Luth was born October 26, 1938, to Edwin and Rosetta (Bass) Luth. She was raised in Dayton and attended area schools. On October 14, 1955, she was united in marriage to Harley V. Foster and the couple made Fort Dodge their home.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Harley "Joe" Jr. and his wife Michelle, Kelly and his wife Marsha both of Fort Dodge, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, siblings Eleanor Smith, Charlie Luth, Gerald Luth, Rochelle Norton, Robert Luth, and Kim Fiebiger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harley, daughter Sherry Louise Foster, siblings Elsie, Degner, Deloris Foley, Pat Ford, John Luth, Paul Luth, and Beverly Herrick

Dorothy enjoyed family, friends, and going for coffee. She loved long drives around the countryside with her husband Harley.
