Dona Jo Richman

Dona Jo Richman, 87, of Fort Dodge, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Trinity Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Private family services will be held.

Dona is survived by her sons, Jim (Laura) Fort Dodge, Jerry (Nancy) Barnum, Justin (Fiona) California, daughter-in-law Pati Richman Somers, brothers Dave and Danny, many grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons Jay and Joel and her parents Elmer and Irene Proffitt.

Dona was born on May 13, 1939 in Numa, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Numa and graduated in 1957 from Numa High School. On August 18, 1957 she was united in marriage to Bill Richman in Numa. They moved to Fort Dodge and raised their family. The couple later divorced.

Dona loved to bowl, play bingo, and cards. Her most cherished blessing was spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving Mom and Grandma doing anything that was needed for her family.

Memorials may be left to family discretion.
