Diane Linn (Dyer) Bean Henry of Rockwell City, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025 in Fonda at the age of 70.

Diane was born December 4, 1955 in Fort Dodge to Clifford and Deloris (Ramthun) Dyer. She graduated from Cedar Valley Community School in Somers on May 19, 1974. She was united in marriage to to Larry Bean in Slifer, Iowa on April 20, 1974 and to that union, two children were born; Angela Marie and Jeremy Duane. The couple divorced in 1987. On July 28, 1990, she was united in marriage to Matthew Henry in Lake City. The couple made their home at her family farm until 1999 when they moved to Mount Ayr. She graduated from Mercy College of Health Sciences in 2003 with a degree and the highest honors in Radiologic Technology. In 2018, she retired to her family home in Rockwell City, with Matt following the next year.

Diane is survived by her husband, Matt Henry of Rockwell City; daughter, Angela (Matt) Dobbins of Rockwell City; son, Jeremy Bean of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Kellen Dobbins and Reilly Dobbins both of Rockwell City, Kate Bean and Josh Bean both of Canton, GA, and Elijah Williams of Acworth, GA; brother, Dennis Dyer of Pine, CO; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Clifford and Deloris Dyer and grandparents, Charles and Daisy Dyer and Harry and Anna Ramthun.

Diane was a fierce supporter of animal rescue and wildlife rehabilitation, especially in her later years. She created the first dog pound in Calhoun County in the 1990's and continued her work through her nonprofit, Earth Angel Rescue Services (EARS); which rehabbed and rehomed hundreds of dogs and wildlife throughout her lifetime. She will be terribly missed by humans and animals alike.

No funeral services are planned at this time. Please join the family to love and laugh at a Celebration of Diane's life and memory on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Rockwell City Library from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Laufersweiler's Palmer-Swank Funeral Home is serving the family.

Memorials may be left to family discretion.
