Debra Konvalinka, 65, of Harcourt passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Monday, August 18, 2025 at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow in Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 2025 with a rosary beginning at 3:00 PM all at Laufersweiler Funeral Home, Fort Dodge.

Debbie is survived by her siblings, Daniel Konvalinka, Elaine (Kevin) Rubel, and Kelly (Troy) Anderson all of Fort Dodge; nieces, Kelsey (Ryan) Dornath, Kaitlyn (Jacob) Winge, Marissa (Tyler) Hinman, and Alisa (Kody) Kilts; great nieces, Adalyn, Everleigh, Isla and Ava Winge; great nephews, Forrest and Arlo Hinman, John and Liam Dornath, Briggs Winge, and Waylon Kilts.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerry and Anna (Beadle) Konvalinka and Anton and Elfrieda (Koester) Dencklau; parents, Donald and Jane (Dencklau) Konvalinka and numerous extended family members.

Debra was born June 26, 1960 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge. She lived west of Fort Dodge near Tara. In 1963, her family moved to a farm south of Harcourt. Debra attended Dayton Community School and graduated in 1978. During her high school years, she worked at the Harcourt grocery store. After graduation, in November of 1978, she was hired by the United States Postal Service as a carrier and then clerk. She was employed for 41 years and 3 months before her retirement in 2020. While working there she made a great group of friends. She received a Merit Award for Outstanding Service while working in Fort Dodge. She also participated in the family farm operations with her parents and brother. She was a member of Christ the King in Dayton. In 2016, she became a Eucharistic Minister for Holy Trinity Parish of Fort Dodge and served the homebound and other area parishioners Holy Communion. Debra enjoyed playing BINGO and going to the casino, but above all else enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She was a member of APWU Local P-317 and ZCBJ Bohemian Lodge. She was extremely proud of her Czechoslovakian and Bohemian heritage.
