Deborah Harvey

Deborah Kay Harvey, 68, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Thursday May 22, 2025 at Trinity Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Deb is survived by her husband of 50 years James "Jim" Harvey, children Michelle (Corey) Crimmins of Fort Dodge, Marie (Shawn) Harvey of Fort Dodge, and Michael (Kristi) Harvey of Fort Dodge, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brother Dennis (Sheri) Vinsant and sister-in-law Kathy Vinsant.

She was preceded by her parents Everett and Betty (Klausen) Vinsant, brothers Jerry, Everett "Abe", and Jack Vinsant, sisters-in-law Brenda Vinsant and Donna Vinsant, infant sister Dianne.

Deborah was born on November 15, 1956 in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated in Fort Dodge, graduating from FDSH in 1975. On March 15, 1975, she was united in marriage to James Harvey at Trinity United Methodist Church. The couple established their home and have a farm near Badger. Deb worked at various jobs including EMC Electric Supply, Home Health Care, N.A.P.A Auto parts and other places. Following their retirement the couple moved to Fort Dodge. She enjoyed shopping, feeding her squirrels, and growing her flowers. Wednesday was always family dinner night. No one left her house without a hug and an "I love you". Deb was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
