Darlene R. Nyren

Loveland, CO Darlene R. Nyren 96, formerly of Gowrie and Lanyon, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, following a brief illness. Private Family Services will be at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is serving the family. Darlene R. Hout was born January 16, 1927 in Jolley, Iowa where she grew up on the farm with six brothers and sisters. After graduating from Jolley High School, she moved to Fort Dodge where she met her future husband, Morris Nyren of Lanyon, Iowa. They married June 8, 1946. The couple farmed near Lanyon where they raised their three children Dennis, Jeanne (Kent) and Janet (Specketer). Darlene was preceded in death by her husband Morris; and son Dennis. She is survived by her daughters; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Darlene died peacefully with her daughters by her side.
