Danny Lee Klein

Danny Lee Klein Sr., 75 of Fort Dodge died Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home.

Danny is survived by his children Shelly Selhaver, Danyelle “Deedee” (David) Gordon, Danny Klein Jr., son-in-law Ed Rees, grandchildren Anthony Klein, Earl “Bobby” Klein, Nathan Klein, Damion Klein, Echo Selhaver, Marjie Selhaver, Kylie Klein, Jeremy Grove, Jacob Grove, Danny Kelly, Darrian Kelly, Joshua Kelly, 30 great-grandchildren, brother Bobby Klein, sisters Linda Cottrill, LuAnn Pederson, sister-in-law and best friend Toni Schmalen.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Margie Ann (Fischer) Klein, wife Linda in 2014, daughter Angeline in January of 2024, son-in-law Robert Selhaver in 2016, grandson Dustyn Long, brother Rodney Klein and sister Sharon Allison.

Danny Lee was born July 23, 1949, in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior Highschool. After graduation he served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge. He then attended school for diesel mechanic and worked as a mechanic. On March 4, 1970, Danny was united in marriage to Linda Blair. The couple made Fort Dodge and the surrounding area their home. Danny loved being outdoors. It didn’t matter if it was riding his Harley, mowing the lawn, or browsing at a garage sale. Danny was the life of the party even at 75 but what was most important to him was family.
