Cynthia Sue Wentink

Cynthia S. Wentink, 61, of Fort Dodge, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026, at her home.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Frank, daughter, Maddison Schwendemann of Fort Dodge, step-daughter, Beth Ann (David) Wentink-Stegeman of Chicago, step-son, Frank (Bethan) Wentink of Cedar Falls, grandchildren, Jared and Max Gray, Alexis Gray and Kashton Gray and great grandson Elias. She was preceded in death by her father, John Wand, mother Judy Wienen, and sister Jessica Wand.

Cynthia Sue Wand was born on September 19, 1964, to John and Judy Wand in Galena, IL. She was raised and educated in Galena, graduating from Galena High School in 1982. Cindy then graduated from the American Institute of Commerce. On August 26, 1994, she was united in marriage to Frank Wentink. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Cynthia worked for Dr. Larry Handy for 10 years. In 2005, the couple moved to Florida. She worked for Belk Department Store. In 2024, the couple returned to Fort Dodge, to be near family and their grandchildren. For a number of years, Cindy and Frank were part of the US Volleyball Traveling Team.
