Colleen Ann Hubert

Colleen A. Hubert, 75, of Rinard, passed away Friday September 18, 2026, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

Memorial service will be held on PLEASE NOTE THE DATE Saturday, October 10th at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.

Colleen is survived by her sister, Cynthia (Keith) Holtgrewe of Papillon, NE, stepsisters, Kim (Rick) Quade of Somers, Shelly (Todd) Powers of Farnhamville, Marci (Rick) Markley of Rinard, niece Jessica (Mitchell) Wilson-Gilligan; Great Nephews Cameron & Caiden Gilligan, Ft. Dodge, nephew Jordan Wilson, Ft. Dodge.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Bernice (Knoble) Hughes, stepmother Barbara (Henderson) Hughes, and stepbrother Steve Miller, and great nephew Chase Mitchell (Gilligan) Wilson, and her ex husband Bill Bubert.

Colleen Ann Hughes was born on July 11, 1951, in Sioux City. She was raised and educated in Fort Dodge, graduating from St. Edmond High School in 1969. In 1970, she moved to California and lived in various locations until establishing her home in Madera, CA. In 1977, she was united in marriage to Bill Hubert. They were later divorced. Colleen worked as a paralegal until retiring. After she retired, she worked for Walt Disney World. In 2015 she returned to Iowa and established her home in Rinard. Colleen enjoyed RVing, traveling, cruising, and in 1995, she was able to fulfill a dream of hers and traveled to Ireland.
