It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cheri Ann Cerwick on May 28, 2026 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on November 9 th , 1955 in Fort Dodge to Kenneth and Leona Cerwick. Cheri was a beloved mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 10:00 am prior to the service at the church.
Cheri graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School and later married her high school sweetheart, Doug Crimmins. Together they built a loving life and were blessed with two sons. Cheri worked at Womack before leaving to continue her career at Farrell Gas, where she worked for several years before deciding to take on her most important role as a stay at home mother and grandmother. Cheri's best years were spent caring for her grandchildren and she always had a house full of toys to play with. Her favorite gatherings were birthdays and Christmas and she often used these as excuses to spoil her 6 grandchildren.
Cheri loved all things related to crafts, but crocheting held a special place in her heart. She was incredibly talented and poured love and creativity into every piece she created. She won many prizes for her crochet dolls and the competition between her and Grandma Cerwick for crochet grew each year. Cheri also looked forward to the annual girls' camping trips, where she treasured the laughter, memories, and special bond she shared with her closest friends.
Cheri was preceded in death by her mother and father, Kenneth and Leona Cerwick; her son Shawn Crimmins; and her former spouse Doug Crimmins.
Cheri is survived by her siblings, James Cerwick, Rick (Julie) Cerwick, Cindy (Gary) Doss, and Terry (Shelly) Cerwick; her son Jason (Nicole) Crimmins and their children Jayden, Kale (Malea), Kyler and Chloe; her daughter-in-law Kelli Crimmins and her sons Michael and Alex.
Memorials may be left to family discretion.
