July 29, 1950 — January 25, 2026
Charles "Charlie" Hughes, 75, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday February 2nd in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Charlie is survived by his sons, James C. and Ed H, 4 grandchildren, and sister Kay Reed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Kathryn (Lansing) Hughes.
Charles L. Hughes was born on July 29, 1950, in Fort Dodge. He has spent most of his life in the Fort Dodge area, graduating from St. Edmond High School in 1968. He was a press operator at Electrolux for 21 years. Charlie was a member of ULW Local 442, Moose Lodge #806, Defenders of Wildlife, and the National Wildlife Federation.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
