Caroline Sayre

Twin Lakes - Caroline K. Sayre 87, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Good Samaritan Society in Manson. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at St. Paul's Lutheran & Presbyterian Church, Rockwell City followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Laufersweiler's Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family.

Caroline is survived by her husband Charles; daughters, Jill (Wally) Von Ahn and Pamela (John Paltz) Rix, all of Sac City; 6 grandchildren, Carol (Ethan) Rushton, Sara (Chris) Frohardt, Lora (Mike) Scharn, Tyler (Abby) Rix, Zachary Rix, and Brie (Jason) Kohorst;13 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Esther (Glanz) Henderson; brother William Henderson; and son-in-law Michael Rix.

Caroline K. Henderson was born February 10, 1937 at Sidney, Nebraska. She graduated from Sidney High School, with the Class of 1955. On March 22, 1956, Caroline was united in marriage to Charles Sayre in Arlington, Virginia. In 1960, the couple established their home in Denver, Colorado until moving to Sac City in 1970. Caroline owned and operated Caroline's Closet for 24 years in Sac City. In 1991, the couple retired to Twin Lakes.
