Carol Renee Sexton died on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, IA following complications from a fall. Carol was born in Lake City, IA on February 17,1956, the youngest of Dale and Mary (Stumpf) Sexton's five children. She was raised on a farm northwest of Rockwell City and attended schools in Calhoun County's Special Education system, graduating from Lake City High School. She loved hearing about their grandchildren's travel experiences and anything happening in their lives. She enjoyed the activities of Freedom Pointe's Friendship Center in Fort Dodge, socializing with her friends. She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Church.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Mary Sexton. She leaves behind siblings Marcia Frerichs, Steamboat Rock, IA; Keith (Barb) Sexton, Ames, IA; Marlene (Robert) Buckley, Des Moines, IA and Monica (Alan) Peitz, Perry, IA along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
