Carol Locke

Carol Ann Locke, 83, of Fort Dodge passed away Monday, November 17, 2025, at Van Deist Medical Center.

Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, at Prince of Peace Church. Burial will follow at Newark Township Cemetery. A visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.

Carol is survived by her son Todd (Lori) of Fort Dodge, beloved grandchildren Charmayne, Chad, Candy (Anthony), Bobbie, Trace (LeeAnn), Isabella, great-grandchildren Madeline, Bradley, Gabe, Delaney, Emersyn, and two great-great grandchildren Hudson and Oaklynn. She is also survived by her sister Helen Schroeder of Somers, brother Roger (Arlene) Summers of Arizona, and brother-in-law Bill (Maureen) Locke of Eagle Grove, and special daughters Mary and Mary Ann.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael, and son Troy.

Carol Ann Summers was born January 16, 1942, to Kenneth and Caroline (Heidick) Summers. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1960. In 1965, Carol was united in marriage to Mike Locke and the couple made their home in Vincent. Carol began working for the US Post Office in 1977 and retired after 30 years of service. Carol loved to stay busy. She volunteered at Trinity Regional and Van Diest Medical Centers, was a devoted member of Prince of Peace Church, and shared her baking with everyone.
