Burnell A. Riedemann, 100, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Thursday, August 1st, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
There will be no services held.
Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.
Survivors include daughters Sandra Heid and her husband Stephan Sr. of Fort Dodge, daughter Dawn Riedemann of Fort Dodge, grandson Stephan Heid Jr. of Fort Dodge, granddaughter Cassandra Ashton and her husband Rich, grandson Steven Castillo and his wife Shannon of Port Republic, MD, granddaughter Jaclyn Castillo of TN, 8 great grandchildren Sterling, Maebellyn, Sapphyre, Maccabee, Adelyn, Carter, Tinsley, and Christopher; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his wife, Phyllis in February, parents August and Emma (Roth) Riedemann, sisters Bernice Splittgerber, Irene McComb, Mildred Steenhoven, brothers, Ferdinand Riedemann and Donald Riedemann.
Burnell August Riedmann was born on July 16, 1924, in Paullina, IA. He served his country with 6 years in the National Guard. On January 25, 1959, Burnell was united in marriage to Phyllis Koster. The couple established their home in Cherokee, IA. Burnell drove truck for Cherokee Concrete Products. In 2014, the couple moved to Fort Dodge to be with their daughters. Burnell enjoyed puzzles, reading, and walking at Crossroads Mall. Burnell rode his bike up until he was 90 years old. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
