Bonnie Wiggerman

Bonnie Mae Wiggerman, 89, of Fort Dodge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Bickford Cottages.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, in the Chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home, with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Theresa Olson (Jay) of Aurora, Colorado; Lynne Aldana (Quentin) of Wahoo, Nebraska; and Mary Gormally (Bill) of Fort Dodge; seven grandchildren, Will (Becki) Gormally, Keegan (Alyssa) Gormally, Rhiannon Gormally, Gus (Nicole) Aldana, Max Aldana, Emma (Troy) Humphrey, and Allison Olson; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Carol De Jong of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wiggerman, and her parents, William and Lillian Lahr.

Bonnie Mae Lahr was born on October 1, 1936, in Le Mars, Iowa. She graduated from Le Mars High School in 1955 and later earned her teaching degree from Wayne State University in Wayne, Nebraska.

On October 28, 1958, Bonnie was united in marriage to James Wiggerman in Merrill, Iowa. The couple made their home in Le Mars for ten years before moving to Fort Dodge in 1968.

Bonnie was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she taught CCD classes and was active in the Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters. She and James shared a love of travel, spending many years exploring the United States and Canada on their motorcycle. Above all, Bonnie cherished time with her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.
