Beverly Peterson, 90, of Callender, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Marian Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Callender. Burial will follow at the Callender Cemetery. A visitation will be Friday, February 27, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Beverly is survived by her husband Richard, daughters Anne (Keel) Zinnel of Humboldt, Susan (Scott) Licht of Huxley, Cindy (Robert Jr.) Ayala of Fort Dodge, grandchildren Curt (Jaime) Zinnel, Mike (Ashly) Zinnel, Miranda (Cody) Maggard, Emma (Kris) Davis, Lauren (Camden) Glenn, Kristin Vogel, Josephine (Christian) Klemp, Ian Ayala, 13 great-grandchildren with one great-granddaughter on the way, sister-in-law Lois Lowry and brother-in-law Brian Larson.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents Kelly and Viola (Evanson) Lowry, granddaughter Kerry Jo Vogel, siblings Maxine Dorsey, Kalcie, Lowry, Leone Bryson, Wayne Lowry, Eugene Lowry, Vivian Hanson, and Kay Nerhus-Larson.
Beverly Ann Lowry was born on September 20, 1935, northwest of Callender. She was raised and educated in the area graduating from Callender High School. After high school she attended Tobin Business College. On April 9, 1960, she was united in marriage to Richard Peterson at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. For 65 years, Callender was home for Beverly and Richard.
Beverly first worked at S&M Finance until becoming a mother. As her daughters grew older Beverly returned to work at Somer's Saving Bank. She retired in 1995.
Beverly enjoyed baking, spending time with her friends, family, and hosting gatherings. She was a lifetime member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and women's church groups. The family would like to thank the staff at the Marian Home for their excellent care and kindness during her time there.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
