Betty Ann Lind, 82, of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at her home.
A visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A private family service burial will take place at North Lawn Cemetery.
Betty is survived by her children Dan (Kelly) Lind, Barb Lind, and Beth Lind all of Fort Dodge. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren Dr. Nicholas (Miriam), Nathan (Cassie), Jenni (David, Abbigael (Noah), Autsin, Graesyn, Kenneth, Christopher (Destiny), Taytum, Parker, Addison, Lyrik, ten great-grandchildren Georgia, Harvey, Ingrid, Hadley, Hudson, Annie, James, Olyvia, Traycen, Sawyer, Ellie, and Willow.
She is preceded in death by her parents Wilford and Elizabeth (Davis) Messerly, husband Richard in 2022, brothers Richard, Harold, Jerry, and Larry Messerly and sister Janet Pederson.
Betty Ann Messerly was born July 4, 1942, in Fort Dodge. She was raised in Fort Dodge and graduated from FDSH in 1960. On November 26, 1959, Betty was united in marriage to Richard Lind. For many years, Betty worked for her family businesses the Badger Inn and Messerly towing Company. For over 40 years, she worked at various nursing homes as a dietary supervisor, notably the Villa Care Center and Webster County Health Care. Betty retired in 2007 from US Health Care. Betty was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. She was involved with UMW, Quilter's Club, and various church committees. She always enjoyed her card club and coffee club at the Badger Library.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
