Betty Jean Pritchard

Betty Jean Pritchard, 93, of Fort Dodge passed away at her home March 31, 2026.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.

Betty Jean is survived by her children Sue (Tom) Bradley of Fort Meyers, FL, Lynne Pritchard of Lohrville, Larry (Margaret) Pritchard of Jefferson, Alan Pritchard of Jacksonville, FL, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and brother Francis Shipman of Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Blanch (Sheker) Shipman, husband David in 2002, children Kristi Pritchard, Vicky (Leonard) Butrick, Debra Moore, and David Pitchard Jr.

Betty was born July 26, 1932, in Fort Dodge. She was raised in Fort Dodge. Betty Jean was united in marriage to David Pritchard and the couple made Fort Dodge their home. She was a loving homemaker that enjoyed gardening and sharing whatever she grew.
