Beth Crosby, 80, of Fort Dodge passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Friendship Haven.
Private burial will be at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2026, at Creekside, 1762 Johnson Avenue Fort Dodge. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.
Beth is survived by her daughters Christine (Curt) Carlson of Storm Lake, Racheel Crosby of Fort Dodge, Laura (Daniel) Carlson of Indiana, Debbie Hendrickson of Fort Dodge, grandchildren Corey (Angela) Crosby, Jade (Danny) Schuman, Derek Carlson, Rhea (DJ) Naber, Cassidy (Scott) Lawler, Brandy Carlson, great-grandchildren Jared, Matt, Milly, Avery, Lance, Niko, Jaydan, siblings Joyce (Jim) Herbert, Patrice (Kenny) Bass, and Peggy Hansch.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Catherine (Casey) Gelhausen, sister Frances Gelhausen, brother Mike (Carol) Gelhausen, and son-in-law Tom Hendrickson.
Lenore Elizabeth Crosby was born May 17, 1945, in Fort Dodge. She was raised in Fort Dodge, graduating Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1963. On July 15, 1963, she was united in marriage to Richard Crosby and the couple later divorced in 1995. Beth worked as a nurse's aide and most notably was a secretary at Webster County Public Health. Beth enjoyed reading and crocheting but, in her retirement, her free time was spent volunteering at the Lord's Cupboard and at the Village General Store. She was a past member of Corpus Christi Church and was a member of Holy Trinity Church.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
