Barb Kleemeier

Barbara Lou Kleemeier, 80, of Rockwell City passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at her home surrounded by family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, June 20, 2025 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Rockwell City. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at the church.

Barb is survived by her sons, Scott (Danette) Kleemeier of Locust Grove, GA and Jeff (Sheila) Kleemeier of McDonough, GA; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob, Doug, and Greg; and dearest friend, Janet Haub.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Evelyn Warner; husband, James Kleemeier; grandson, Austin Kleemeier; and sister, Fran Collins.

Barb Spurlin was born March 22, 1945 in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Rockwell City High School. On November 4, 1961 she was united in marriage to James Kleemeier at St. Francis Catholic Church. Barb worked at GTE telephone company and as a nurses aid. She also worked for Rands Elevator that became NEW Coop in Knierim. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling. Barb was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
