Audrey Lynn Gleason Short, 36, of Fort Dodge, recently gave her life to Jesus Christ, and was taken to her Heavenly home on Monday, July 18th, 2022, surrounded by family and her best friend, Mindy. Audrey was born to Brian and Vicki (Board) Gleason on May 6, 1986 in Iowa City. She was born in the infancy of her parents' auto glass business, and spent a lot of time at their shop as a child, often creating playhouses out of cardboard windshield boxes. Audrey returned to the family business to work alongside her dad as the office manager of Visions Auto Glass for 14 years. Audrey brought three beautiful children into the world: Mya, Thomas, and Lily. Her kids were the light of her life, and together they shared an abundance of joy and endless memories that will forever be treasured. Audrey is survived by her children, Mya (20) of Cedar Falls, Tom (16) and Lily (13), both of Fort Dodge, parents Brian and Vicki Gleason of Rockwell City, sister Abby (Jim) Stocker, of Jewell, and their children, Sawyer, Kenny, and Connor, grandmother Carol Board of Rockwell City, special aunts Tina and Dawn, who were more like her sisters, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Audrey is preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenny and Thelma Gleason, and Roy Board, uncle Mark (Albert) Schilling, honorary grandmother Neva Imhoff, as well as her dear friend, Brian Scott. A public visitation service will be held on Friday, July 22nd from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Palmer & Swank Funeral Home in Rockwell City. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorials will be divided among Audrey's three children.
