Aseelah Al-Hameed (Humphrey), 58, of Fort Dodge passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 12, 2025 at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 24, 2025 in the chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Aseelah leaves behind her daughters, Jania Mosley (Taylor), Latiffa Mosley (Reginald), and Laricka Grady Al-Hameed (Pablo); grandchildren, Deshawna Green, Deshawn Green, Rayshawn Green, Rhayauna Siebken, Rayshawna Green, Kambriah Bergren, Kariyauna Bergren, Brasi White, Kiyzlen Al-Hameed, Drayshawn Green, Drayshawna Green, Teyshawn Green, and Treyshawn Green; mother, Tauheedah Al-Hameed; brothers: Ahmad, Hamidullah (Terri), Hammad (Joelaine), Zakee (Melanie) and Waliyullah Al-Hameed (Noah); sisters, Ameedah, Wafa, Wala, Nimat (Raymond), Ziyadah (Don), Zarinah, and Nadirah. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wali M. Al-Hameed; sisters, Ulrica Lawson and Mahasin Al-Hameed (Short); Brother, Amin Al-Hameed; grandparents, Joe and Blessit Pearl Newsome; uncles, MB Newsome, Lawrence Newsome, Philip Newsome, and Hasson Hameed; cousins, Curtsie Newsome, Angel Hameed, Daryl Cunningham, and Gregory Newsome.
Aseelah Al-Hameed was born January 18, 1967 in Columbus, Georgia. She moved to Iowa as a child and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. After college, she became a CNA and took care of others. She liked working in restaurants and being in customer service. In her free time, she loved to be on Tik Tok and spend time with her family especially her daughters and grandchildren.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
