Sandy Weiss

Sandra "Sandy" Weiss, 62, of Barnum passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Barnum. A visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 Friday, February 18th at the funeral home. Sandy is survived by her friend Gary Maatsch of Barnum, daughter Jody Weiss of Cedar Rapids, son Jeremy Weiss of Des Moines, brother Larry Siebels of Vermillion, MN, and sister Marilyn (Sam) Salter of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman "Bud" and Mary Lou Siebels, brothers George and David Siebels. Sandra Kay Siebels was born January 11, 1960. She graduated from Saint Edmond High School and attended DMACC. For over 30 years, Sandy worked as a Surgical Aide at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Sandy enjoyed the outdoors, especially working in her garden. She loved to travel but mostly loved spending time with her family; her children were her life. Sandy was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. Memorials may be left to the family's discretion.
